It has been a day let me tell you…
It all started when my alarm went off this morning..then went off again..then went off yet again. How I’m sleeping through the annoying thing I have no clue. But I was running 10mts behind and little mini me was yelling “No! Stay in bed…smmhhhh who needs to workout…” But fit mini me yelled louder and said: “Hey! Those abs won’t make themselves..Get ya lazy bootie up and move!!” SOOOOO I grabbed my gym gear threw it in the truck and rolled to the gym.
It was wonderful..I was sooooooo glad I went :) I had space to move around and workout. Apparently the New Year’s Resolution peeps are on the wind-down giving us year rounders space to breath again. Did a quick leg workout and some abs before hitting that oh so hot shower. With two other roommates in my house, hot water is rare commodity…hence why I have a gym membership :)
Headed out to get some gas for my guzzler of a truck and hit up Starbucks when my roommate pulled up beside my truck..and delivered Starbucks. Now how nice was that? (Secretly he’s trying to get to gold card Starbucks status before me..)
Made it to work early and settled in to play catch up. The not so fun part of “vacation” but thankfully I was mostly caught up by lunch time. As I stood up to head to lunch I heard the eerie sound of zzzzzzzzzapSSnap…Oh no…not again..I hastily checked the zipper on the back of my brand-new-never-worn-before-today Loft skirt only to discover that it had indeed split. Now…I’m not one to boast, but my bootie is tiny..like real tiny and this skirt is a size too big..so how did I bust the zipper?
Then my day just kept getting better…no safety pins to be found, no duck tape..no superglue..needless to say my skirt is very interestingly held together at the moment :)
My afternoon was filled with meetings. I finally realized at 4pm that I had never gotten around to eating lunch after my lunch run. By the way, doing legs pre-work and running at lunch…bad idea! So I’m currently scarfing down some nom noms while trying not to move so that my skirt won’t fly open again..and to top it all off..I still haven’t finished my coffee from this morning..
So tell me..what’s your most embarrassing mishap at work? Ever have one of these days?

Darn zippers! Sewing a zipper is a send out event for me. Great job working out in the a.m. I have to be at work at 7 a.m. lol I can’t imagine :) you need a little protein stash for those crazy days…I always keep pumpkin and sunflower seeds. I have lots of “those days”
I hate ripping out zippers an putting new ones in. This is the third skirt from LOFT that’s done that to me. You think I would’ve learned by now. Love love love pumpkin seeds! I keep a Tupperware of them in my desk for moments of crisis :)
Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual appeal.
I must say you’ve done a amazing job with this.
Additionally, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Safari.
Thanks so much!
Hey, I’m a new web designer just starting out and I am in need of a portfolio.
Would you like a website design at no cost?
I’d love to see what kind of ideas you have. I’m currently in the middle of coding a new site, but I’m always up for helping out a fellow designer’s portfolio.
I hardly leave a response, but i did some searching and wound
up here Snapping Tuesday | The Spot Where Lemon Rain Drops
:). And I do have 2 questions for you if it’s allright. Is it only me or does it seem like some of the remarks come across as if they are coming
from brain dead visitors? :-P And, if you are writing on
additional online social sites, I would like to keep up with
anything fresh you have to post. Would you list of every one of your social sites like your Facebook page, twitter
feed, or linkedin profile?
Thanks for the comment :) It does indeed seem like that to me sometimes! I don’t have a Facebook/Linkedin, but you can follow me on twitter @lemonraindrop!
