6 Rassling Tickets, 5 flannel shirts, 4 big mud tires, 3 shotgun shells, 2 huntin dogs and some parts to a Mustang GT! I’ve got the Redneck 12 Days of Christmas stuck in my head..There are officially 6 days until Christmas!
Can you believe it? Yeah, me either! Work is winding down for the holidays. One of the amazing things about my job is that we get most major holidays off, several days for Thanksgiving and Christmas to New Year’s off :) You seriously can’t beat it.
Last night I made gifts for my coworkers :) They’re all so sweet to put up with this crazy kid all year so I wanted to do something nice for them. I decided to make them one of my holiday favs! Sugar cookies but with a twist :) They have to do all the work. I threw everything they needed into these great jars I got at Hobby Lobby (at 50% off too!), labelled them with awesome labels I found at HL. I had made my own to go on them but decided that having to rubber cement them on seemed a bit much.. Finished them off with some sparkly ribbon (50% off at HL!) and cookie cutters :) By the way..do you have any idea how hard it is to find cookie cutters these days! I had to go to three stores before finding them buried under junk at Walmart. I’m very anti-Walmart..I’m a fan of shopping local! But sometimes you’re in dire straights and you have to suck it up.
Then it was off to the house to make a mess :) I’m dog/house-sitting & the German Pointer tried to help and ending up strewing the flour all over the kitchen (to her mom & dad: I cleaned it all up have no fear!) Needless to say, after I occupied Charlotte with some peanut butter and her chewy toy, I finished these guys in record time. We had a grand time singing along with Michael Bublé’s Christmas show while making these :) Okay…well I sang..and Charlotte whined. Charlotte and I finished out the night with a triple Hallmark Channel movie marathon..she wanted to watch the next one but this kid was exhausted :)
