Hip Hip Hurray

Hello :) Just wanted to give you a quick lunch update!

It’s been a great start to the week this week! I’ve been working on my Cara Box for Angela and have thoroughly enjoyed this month’s Carnival/Fair theme :) I must admit it was a bit challenging though!

I got my shoulder straightened out last night just in time for church league softball! We have our first practice tonight and I’ll admit I’m a little nervous about it. The rules have changed a bit since the last time that I played and the guys on the team are majorly intense about it. Don’t get me wrong..I want to win as much as they do but at the end of the day my life will not be ruined if we lose ya know? Stay tuned :) Our first game is next Monday!

I’ve been working on some fun stuff lately :) T-shirt designs because what kid doesn’t need an awesome shirt for summer to wear?

I’m also writing a new book :) It will be my 2nd to get published, 1st to be published by a publishing company (hopefully)! So far my editor has been thrilled with the progress. It’s an interactive guide for girls on surviving in the wilderness. I love writing it because I get to include all of my sketches and ideas into it. They will learn everything from basic camping skills to how to survive in extreme conditions (ie your plane crashes). I can’t wait to see how it is going to turn out.

I’m drawing a lot :) My goal was a doodle a day and then expanding on those doodles. I’m thrilled with the increase in my creativity.

I’m getting thinner! I wore my skinny pants to work yesterday and they fell off..literally. I had to punch a new hole in my belt last night. I’m pleased to say I just passed the hole that I was on as a senior in high school :) woot woot. I’ve been seriously working on my eating. It’s retarded to work out like a boss and eat like a slob :) So I got the My Fitness Pal app on my phone and I’m holding myself accountable. It’s a great app. You can record your workouts, food, and water all in one. Download it!

I’m running longer without having to stop. My breathing is getting incredibly better and I’m having to think less about it. I ran a 12 minute pace this week and that’s huge for me! My goal is to get back to collegiate soccer shape by the end of the year. This time last year it was hard to believe I had actually played collegiate soccer with my weight and fitness being so out of control. But now I can almost hang with them. I want to be able to run with Hoki in the fall when she gets back from Canada and not die!

I’m training again. I have semi been neglecting my weight training and decided to get back to it this week. I surpassed all of my current weights and was able to increase my leg weights about 15-20lbs. Guess all that running is paying off :)

My brother is home for the summer :) It’s always fun to hangout with him. It’s been about 3 years since he lived at home full-time so it’s crazy weird for all three siblings to be home at the same time. I don’t think we know what to do with each other! My peace and quiet won’t return until the middle of August when they head back to college.

On a super exciting note…I’m going to look at houses next week! My goal is to move out on my own by the end of the summer. I’m so ready to be a grown up. So wish me happy house hunting!
