As I sit here this morning enjoying my blissful peace and quiet, I thought I’d share some of my favorite quotes from some vivacious 3 & 4 year olds this week…..
I like “salad and sketti” ~ Charlie :)
God gave us good stuff to drink like water..AND MILLER LIGHT! ~ Charley
I told my momma and daddy to watch my sister while they were on vacation and they losted her.. ~Mo
Anni: Your braid is stupid. Me: We don’t use mean words like stupid. Anni: It’s still ugly!
I’m allergic to apples. I’m allergic to milk. I’m allergic to cheese. I’m allergic…. ~Mason (he’s allergic to anything he doesn’t want to eat :)
Why do you have junk on your face? ~ Grace
One time we had robbers come to our house and I wanted them to steal my sister but they didn’t. ~ Wyatt
I wish I had written down all the funny things they said this week :) Needless to say my heart was filled with joy as I hung out with these hooligans. I learned a lot from them. Their innocence was refreshing. I loved all the hugs and high fives they gave me. Their love is fierce once they decide they like you :) I learned what great parenting looks like and what under-parenting looks like (it’s not pretty).
Moving out of my comfort zone was challenging! But I’m so glad I did it :) I’ve been going to this church for about 6 months now and it was awesome to meet some cool people that I’d never meet otherwise. I problem solved a lot! We had some scraps and bruises, iced knees, allergy scares and children deciding to switch classes (without telling us of course). But! I found my missing kiddos, I creatively swapped out snacks for our allergy kiddos, and I reassured them when they were overcome with separation anxiety. I was tired, frustrated and hot but nothing was better! Those kids will never know how much they impacted my life this week.
I hope as they continue to grow and develop that something I said or did this week made a difference :)
Have a Fabulous Friday :)
XOXO ~ Lemon
